Ashley and the Ronald & Joyce Wanek Foundation Ignite Over 130 Students’ Futures with Scholarships for 2024-2025

Updated: Sep 24

ARCADIA, Wis. – Ashley Furniture Industries, LLC (Ashley) and the Ronald & Joyce Wanek Foundation, Inc. (the Foundation) are thrilled to announce the awarding of over $470,000 in scholarships to 139 exceptional students for the 2024-2025 academic year. Through these generous scholarships, Ashley and the Foundation continue to demonstrate their unwavering commitment to education and the cultivation of the future workforce.

The Ashley Grants-in-Aid scholarships offer financial support to high school senior dependents of Ashley employees or students employed by Ashley. For the 2024-2025 school year, an impressive $146,000 in scholarships will empower 73 students to reach new academic heights.

Likewise, the Ronald & Joyce Wanek Foundation scholarship extends its generosity to students pursuing degrees in Automation, Engineering, Information Technology, Manufacturing, Design, and various other dynamic fields in select states. This year, $330,000 in scholarships will bolster the academic pursuits of 66 students dedicated to innovation and excellence.

“Growing up, I was told if your dreams don’t scare you then they are not big enough, and one of the biggest fears I have had of college is paying for it,” stated Nathaniel Gill, Ashley Grants-in-Aid Recipient. “With the help of this scholarship, it has allowed me to just focus on my education and not be afraid. Thank you to Ashley for providing this opportunity.”

Recipients from eight states—Wisconsin, Pennsylvania, North Carolina, Mississippi, Florida, Texas, Montana, and California—will benefit from these scholarships. They were invited to a special presentation and tour of Ashley's facilities, offering an inside look at the company's commitment to innovation and nurturing talent.

“On behalf of the Allen Family, we are excited and appreciative that our son Grayson received the Grants-in-Aid scholarship,” stated Glenwood Allen, II, Ashley Employee. “Receiving this scholarship was a fantastic way for him to be recognized and to encourage academic growth. The money received will help Grayson become the Aerospace Engineer he desires to be. Grayson and our family would like to thank Ashley Furniture Industries for this award!”

Ashley and the Ronald & Joyce Wanek Foundation's dedication to education is evident through their longstanding support of various educational initiatives. Since 1997, they have invested over $4 million in over 2,100 student scholarships, touching countless lives and inspiring future innovators.

Their efforts not only support students but also facilitate partnerships that benefit K-12 and post-secondary schools across the country. These scholarships are a testament to Ashley's promise to invest in the minds and dreams of tomorrow's leaders.
